Our Vision

To create a thriving, empowered, and equitable African American community in the Greater Indianapolis Metropolitan Area, where every individual has the opportunity to succeed, contribute, and lead.

Our Mission

To improve the quality of life for African Americans in the Greater Indianapolis Metropolitan Area through policy research, civic engagement, education, and community programming. We're committed to fostering African American participation in the political process and driving positive change through collaboration with partner civic, religious, professional, social service, and civil rights organizations.

Our Values

Empowerment through Education: We believe in the transformative power of knowledge. We provide workshops and forums to equip our community with  tools to engage in the political process, advocate for their rights, and stay informed on issues.

Impactful Programming: We're dedicated to programming that unites our community and drives positive change, including candidate forums, public debates, cultural celebrations, and outreach initiatives aligned with our mission.

Policy Advocacy: We champion the interests of African American communities through policy research and advocacy, ensuring our voices are influential in local, state, and national decision-making.

Collaboration & Inclusivity: We value unity and partnership, building strong collaborations with diverse organizations and creating an inclusive environment where voices in our community are honored and heard.

Integrity and Accountability: We uphold the trust of our community through transparency, ethical conduct, and a relentless commitment to improving the lives of African Americans in the Greater Indianapolis area.

Meet our board: leaders who guide our strategic direction.
